China Media Group (CMG) is hosting the China’s Governance and Worldwide Development Global Dialogue in Accra on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The event brings together participants to exchange views on China’s governance experience, its contribution to global development and the role of international cooperation in building a more prosperous and inclusive world.
The Accra dialogue follows a similar event jointly organised by CMG and the Chinese Embassy in the United States in Washington, DC, on Monday, November 2, after the conclusion of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The Washington event provided a platform for discussions on China’s governance approach, its role in global development and opportunities for international cooperation. It also highlighted the importance of dialogue and mutual learning in addressing growing global challenges.
In a video address, CMG President Shen Haixiong said understanding China required an understanding of the Communist Party of China.
“To understand China today, one must understand the Communist Party of China,” he said.
He said the plenary session demonstrated the CPC’s commitment to strengthening its governance through higher standards and more concrete measures, with the aim of translating effective Party governance into effective national governance.
Mr Shen added that CMG would continue to explain the factors behind the CPC’s success and share China’s governance experience with international audiences.
