Spiced with Ghanaian hospitality and a generous helping hand from the Vice President, chef Abdul-Razak Failatu’s journey to culinary record-breaking is heating up in Tamale.
As she fires up the stoves in her bid to cook for a world-beating 120 hours, a timely GH₵30,000 donation from Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has added fuel to her ambitious flame.
The regional spotlight shines bright on Chef Failatu, not just for her audacious attempt to surpass the current Guinness World Record of 119 hours and 57 minutes set by Irish chef Alan Fisher, but also for her choice of Tamale as the arena for this gastronomic marathon.
Northern Regional Minister Shani Alhassan Saibu, representing the Vice President at the cook-a-thon’s launch, hailed Chef Failatu’s initiative as a delicious way to put Tamale on the global map.
“This proves that our region brims with hospitality and culinary wonders,” he declared, underscoring the Vice President’s support for this bold endeavour.
