Former Real Tamale United midfielder David Abagna Sandan scored the opening goal for Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman when they defeated Cameroonian side Cotonsport in the CAF Champions League on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old, who was playing his fourth game in the competition for the Omdurman-based side scored the opening goal of the game in the 41st minute.
Abagna impressed in midfield as he played a key role in the victory – he was replaced on the 64th-minute mark by DR Congo international Fabrice Ngoma.
Meanwhile, his Ghanaian compatriot, Imoro Ibrahim, started the game and played the entire period of the game for the victors.
