Delay asked a question that caught the group off guard. “Have you ever used your resemblance to Kuami Eugene to get sexual benefits?” she asked.
The group was momentarily speechless. They looked at each other, unsure of how to answer. Finally, Stephen, one of the members of the group, spoke up. “I’m not sure what you mean,” he said.
“I mean, have you ever used your looks to get women to sleep with you?” Delay clarified.
Stephen blushed. “No,” he said. “I’ve never done anything like that.”
“Really?” Delay asked. “Because I would think that being a lookalike for Kuami Eugene would be a major advantage in the dating world.”
“It’s not like that,” Stephen said. “I’m just me. I’m not Kuami Eugene. And I don’t want to take advantage of anyone.” The other members of the group nodded in agreement. “We’re all just trying to live our lives,” one of them said. “We’re not trying to use our looks to get ahead.”
Delay smiled. “I understand,” she said. “I just wanted to ask.”
The interview continued, and the group talked about other aspects of their lives as lookalikes. But the question about sexual benefits lingered in the air.
