Dreamoval, a Fintech Company in partnership with Star Assurance has launched the “Kowri” merchant platform to meet the new demands of clients and customers.
The new merchant platform which promises to offer free insurance cover christened “Kowri Protect” is underwritten Star Assurance.
In a media interaction on the sidelines of a Business Networking Soiree in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of Dreamoval Limited, Claud Kweku Hutchful, explained that the new platform seeks to transform the financial ecosystem and bring additional value to customers.
“Kowri is an App that seeks to digitize access to financial services. We are partnering with Star Assurance to provide insurance products on our platform for consumers and businesses. It enables businesses to process payment. So we can process payment with Mobile Money, cards, and we give you one portal where you can view all your transactions that are coming through,” he explained.
“As part of our support to customers, we are offering them commercial insurance packages like against fire or flood and so on when you sign up with us,” he added.
On her part, the Head of Alternative Distribution Channels at Star Assurance, Bridgette Opoku- Sarkodie noted that “Kowri Protect” is geared towards protecting businesses.
“This is a fine opportunity to deepen insurance penetration and also bring insurance to the door steps of clients and these insurance packages are being offered for free for Kowri merchants,” she said.
