Dreams FC proved their mettle in their maiden CAF inter-club contest, securing a 1-1 draw against Guinea’s Milo FC de Kankan in Conakry.
The Ghanaian FA Cup champions avoided defeat in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie, and they will feel confident going into the second leg in Accra.
Despite being newcomers on the continental stage, Dreams FC displayed an unyielding attitude in the away match on Saturday.
Beninois forward Aholou Gael Avocevou provided a brilliant finish in the first half, propelling Dreams FC into the lead. The Ghanaian team tenaciously maintained their advantage until the 75th minute when Milo FC equalized, thanks to a goal from midfielder Mamady Bamba. This goal guaranteed a shared outcome for the home team.
The second leg is set for Sunday, August 27th, at the Accra Sports Stadium. The encouraging draw has firmly established Dreams FC as the frontrunners for the impending showdown.
