Asante Kotoko new recruit Elvis Kyei Baffour is determined to overcome pressure at the club in order to succeed.
The Porcupine Warriors officially announced the signing of the former Liberty Professionals attacker on a permanent deal on Monday.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Kumasi, has joined his childhood club on a three-year contract.
Kyei has been training with the team since July 2, 2024, impressing the technical staff with his skills and experience.
“There is always pressure. As a Kumasi boy, I have to stand firm. With hard work and determination, I believe I can overcome pressure at the club. We will see what we can do to minimize pressure” he said.
His return to his roots will also mark a new chapter in his career, which began at Kumasi Rainbow FC before moving to Liberty in 2017.
Kyei’s professional journey has taken him to Tunisia and Slovenia, playing for AS Soliman and NK Rogaska, respectively.
He is expected to feature when Kotoko take on Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup on Wednesday.
