Ghanaian businessman turned politician, Freedom Jacob Caesar real name Nana Kwame Bediako, is reportedly considering throwing his support behind the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming 2024 elections.
Caesar has been fighting to establish his own political entity in Ghana known as the New Force, however, the group’s moves continually face obstacles from the Ghanaian government.
It started with the New Force’s spokesperson, Belgian national Shalimar Abbuisi, being deported on false pretences.
Following that, a planned convention by the New Force at the Black Star Square January 7th was also disrupted by the government.
Following these attacks on his movement by the government, Bediako has been reported as considering throwing his support behind the NDC and John Dramani Mahama.
Freedom Jacob Caesar met ex-President Mahama Monday, a day after his conventions was cancelled.
Popular publisher Dele Momodu shared photos from the meeting and teased a possible partnership between the NDC and the New Force.
“After the aborted gathering of radical African leaders, (including Timi Frank, Prof. PLO Lumumba, Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao and Freedom Jacob Caeser) invited by NANA KWAME BEDIAKO (aka CHEDDAR) to meet in Accra, Ghana for the launch of the New African Convention movement, some of the leaders today met with former PRESIDENT JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA, the NDC Presidential candidate in the DECEMBER 7, 2024, elections in Ghana…
“It is not clear if CHEDDAR has decided to throw his full weight behind His Excellency JOHN MAHAMA…” he wrote.
Dele Momodu is an individual who is very close to President Mahama hence, can be considered a credible authority on the NDC’s plans.
