The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has launched the official logo for its new GFA U19 Premier League, as it steps up efforts to develop youth football and provide young players with a route into elite competition.
The inaugural pilot edition will be held in the Greater Accra Region and will feature clubs from the Ghana Premier League and the UMB Division One League.
Matches will be played in a centralised Game Centre format, giving players regular access to high-level competitive football. The competition is also intended to support talent identification and help participating clubs build stronger youth structures.
The introduction of the GFA U19 Premier League forms part of the Associations wider plan to develop the next generation of footballers and establish a sustainable progression from age-group football to the elite game.
The unveiling of the competitions logo marks the beginning of a new phase for youth football in Ghana.
