The Ghana Football Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation on Sunday held a national interdenominational thanksgiving and prayer service in support of Ghana’s football ambitions and the Black Stars’ quest to do well at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The solemn ceremony took place at All Saints Anglican Church on May 17, 2026, bringing together football administrators, government officials, clergy, supporters and members of the sporting fraternity.
The event formed part of efforts to rally spiritual and national support behind the senior national team ahead of crucial assignments on the road to the World Cup.
Prayers were offered for unity, success, good health and guidance for the players, technical team and officials as Ghana continues preparations toward the global tournament.
Officials at the gathering also stressed the importance of patriotism, discipline and collective support in helping the Black Stars achieve success on the international stage.
