Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has named a 24-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar in June.

Black Meteors star Ernesrt Nuamah’s phenomenal performances for FC Nordjaelland have been rewarded as he earns his first senior national team call-up while Alidu Seidu returns after missing out on the previous list due to injury.

Once again, there is no local-based player in Chris Hughton’s second call-up with Kwasi Okyere Wreidt returning to the team after missing out on the World Cup squad

The team will travel to Antananarivo for the clash on Sunday, June 18, 2023, for a place in the next AFCON, which will be held in Ivory Coast.

Ghana enters the game as Group E leaders, with 8 points after two victories and two draws in the first four games.
