Black Stars defender Kasim Nuhu Adams has opined that his teammate, Thomas Partey should be allowed to think through the options and make a concrete decision regarding his future following transfer reports linking him away from Arsenal.
After a strong start to last season season, Partey’s play plummeted, and his place got taken by new recruit Jorginho in the last few rounds of Premier League matches.
According to reports, the Black Stars player is no longer cherished at the club, as the Gunners step up their pursuit of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as a long-term replacement for Partey.
Partey, on the other hand, has drawn interest from clubs in Italy, Turkey, and Asia. Saudi clubs are the latest to make headlines over the midfielder’s situation, with a staggering offer in the area of $200 million dollars being prepared for the player.
However, Kasim Adams belives it is right for Partey to carefully weigh the options and not give up on his potentials.
According to him, it is even possible for the former Athletico Madrid man to fight for his position at the North London club.
“Sometimes you cannot advise someone to choose a club because if doesn’t pan out well, you will be to blame.
“We will just stay back and let him choose if he wants to stay. If he wants to stay at Arsenal, I think it’s a top club. They are going to play in the Champions League as well as other competitions so even though they have signed new players those players cannot play in all the games in the competitions,” he told MX24 TV.
“For me, I believe in him. I know he is a good player. When he tunes his mind that he wants to play and train, he will play for sure even if they have other players there.
“We don’t have to rush him that much to choose a club that he does not feel like choosing. When he wants to go, we will pray and wish him the best because he is one of us,” he added.
Meanwhile the 30-year-old has begun training with Arsenal ahead of the upcoming season.
