Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has eulogized Antoine Semenyo after inspiring Manchester City to FA Cup glory.Semenyo emerged as the hero for the Sky Blues on Saturday afternoon, scoring the only goal to power his outfit to a crucial victory at the Wembley Stadium.After a pulsating goalless draw first half, the Black Stars attacker rose to the occasion in the second half, firing home the match-winner in the 72nd-minute. He met Erling Haalands cross with a clever first-time right-foot finish across Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.However, the former Ghana forward has taken to social media to celebrate Semenyo for his immediate impact at Manchester City.Every Ghanaian should be proud of this guy wrote Asamoah Gyan on X, formerly known as Twitter.The goal not only secured FA Cup glory for City but also ensured Semenyo became the first Ghanaian to score in the final of the famous competition since its inception in 1871.Since joining Manchester City in January, the enterprising Ghana forward has now secured two titles, having previously lifted the Carabao Cup.Semenyo and his Manchester City teammates will now turn their attention to the Premier League title race, with two games remaining in the campaign. Having already bagged two domestic trophies, the Ghana international will be hoping to help City edge Arsenal to complete a treble this season.The 25-year-old enjoyed a sensational first half of the campaign with Bournemouth before sealing a high-profile move to the Etihad Stadium during the winter transfer window.His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, earning him a place on the Premier League Player of the Season shortlist. Across all competitions this season, Semenyo has registered 17 goals and provided four assists.
