Ghana midfielder Edmund Addo has completed his transfer to Serbian club FK Spartak Subotica.

Addo, who was on the verge of joining Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade last year, has signed a permanent contract with Subotica.

The move ends his association with Moldovan club FC Sheriff Tiraspol. Addo appeared in 33 games for FC Sheriff in all competitions, scoring once and assisting the team as they won the league. He played a key role in Sheriff’s famous Champions League win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old Ghana international made his debut for the Black Stars in November 2021, coming off the bench in a World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia. He has since made seven appearances.

Addo missed the World Cup last year after being frozen out at Sheriff following his failed move to Red Star.
