Black Stars midfielder Salis Abdul Samed will miss three games for his club RC Lens after being shown a red card for a dangerous tackle last Saturday in their game against Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old headed for an early shower just 19 minutes into the game after a bad tackle on Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi in a game Paris Saint Germain won 3-1 to extend the league on the table.
Samed who showed remorse to Hakimi after the game has been further ordered to stay out for the next three games after a review of the incident by the French Ligue 1 Disciplinary Committee.
“The verdict of the Disciplinary Committee is known. Excluded for the first time of the season in the 19th minute of #PSGRCL for an uncontrolled gesture – fortunately without consequence for the affected Parisian player – Salis Abdul Samed received a three-game suspension,” said an official club statement from RC Lens Wednesday, April 19.

Following the ruling, RC Lens will now be without the midfielder for their games against AS Monaco, Toulouse, and Olympique de Marseille.
RC Lens are currently third with 63 points in the French Ligue 1 standings behind Paris Saint Germain and Marseille who have 72 and 64 points respectively.
Having made 29 appearances this season for Lens, Salis Abdul Samed has also been nominated for the Marc Vivien Foé Award.
