Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah made an impressive debut for Al Riyadh in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday evening.
Bernard Mensah, who came on in the 46th minute, scored a header in the 51st minute and provided an assist, leaving a significant mark on the game.
Al-Wehda took the lead in the 40th minute through Craig Goodwin, but Bernard Mensah’s goal early in the second half leveled the score. Despite Al Riyadh being reduced to 10 men after Hussain Al Nowaiqi’s red card in the 59th minute, they managed to equalize twice, with Ibrahim Bayesh scoring in the 85th minute.
However, Murad Khadhari’s late goal for Al-Wehda ensured the spoils were shared.
Al-Wehda dominated possession and shots, but Al Riyadh’s resilience, with Bernard Mensah’s contribution, secured a hard-fought point. Al Riyadh will next face Al Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on August 29th.
