Global audience of Asempa FM’s SportsNite show comes to aid of paralysed former Great Olympics player Joe Aggrey — Ghana Sports Online

The worldwide audience of Accra-based radio station Asempa FM has come to the aid of former Great Olympics player Edward Joe Aggrey who has been left paralysed and struggling to feed.

The 74-year-old, who featured for the Wonder Club in the 1970s, is only able to walk with the help of shoulder clutches and is struggling to feed his family.

Through the initiative of the Head of Sports for Adom FM Cluster of Multimedia, Enoch Worlanyo, the worldwide audience of the SportsNite show was asked to come to the aid of the former footballer who also played for Swedru All Blacks.

Listeners of the widely listened to three-hour night show were asked to make donations towards the welfare of the former player and the alms came in thick and fast to the delight and relief of the old man.
