The Ghana Premier League title race took a new turn after Matchweek 30, with Nations FC moving to the top of the table following a 1-0 win over Accra Lions.

Heart of Lions also climbed into second place with a 2-1 victory over FC Samartex, further tightening the race at the top. The results mark a shift in the standings, with both clubs now firmly in contention.

Bibiani GoldStars, who had led the table, suffered a setback with a surprise 2-1 defeat to Karela United. The result dented GoldStars’ title hopes and allowed Nations FC to move ahead.

Karela’s win was built on solid defending and timely goals, disrupting GoldStars’ momentum and boosting Karela’s mid-table campaign.

Elsewhere, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko played out a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium. The match featured few clear chances and was dominated by defensive play. Kotoko remain in fourth place, with their hopes of a late title push now under pressure.

With four games remaining, the title race remains open, and consistency will be crucial in the final stretch of the season.
