Ghanaian singer Gyakie has responded to concerns from fans after leaving the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards without an award despite receiving three nominations.
The “Sankofa” hitmaker was nominated for Album/EP of the Year for After Midnight, Best Afropop Song of the Year for “Sankofa,” and Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year. Following the awards ceremony, a fan questioned how the singer missed out on all three categories, saying people had “been playing in her face for too long.”
