Accra Hearts of Oak have reportedly dissolved the entire technical team of their youth side, Auroras FC, as the club continues its restructuring exercise ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The decision comes just days after Hearts of Oak parted ways with head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and dissolved the senior team’s technical department following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
As part of the latest shake-up, former Ghana international Don Bortey is no longer the head coach of Auroras after the dissolution of the youth team’s backroom staff.
Bortey, a Hearts of Oak legend and one of the club’s most celebrated former players, had been tasked with overseeing the development of young talents within the Auroras setup.
The move signals a major overhaul within the club’s football structure as management seeks to reassess both the senior and youth teams following a season that fell short of expectations despite the first team securing a third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League.
While Hearts of Oak are yet to officially announce replacements, the club is expected to begin the process of rebuilding its technical structures in the coming weeks as preparations for next season gather pace.
The latest development highlights the scale of changes currently taking place at the Phobian club as management looks to reposition Hearts of Oak for a stronger challenge in the 2026/27 season.
