Hearts of Oak showed their resilience as they bounced back to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Phobians got off to a flying start, forcing an own goal from midfielder Philip Ofori in the 15th minute, before doubling their lead through Yaw Baafi in the 66th minute.

However, Nsoatreman pulled one back just two minutes later, setting up a tense finish to the game. The away side finished the game with 10 men as Ransford Asokwah was sent off in the dying embers.
In the end, Hearts of Oak held on to secure a crucial three points and enhance their title aspirations, while Nsoatreman’s winless run extended to four games.

Legon Cities also climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over Kotoku Royals, with Michel Otou scoring a second-half brace. Accra Lions’ winless run extended to five games as they lost to Samartex 1-0.
