Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has officially been certified as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Baci’s cook-a-thon, which took place last month, was so popular that it crashed the Guinness World Records website for two days. The website was inundated with traffic from Baci’s fans, who were eager to see her break the record.
Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes, beating the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.
In a statement, Guinness World Records said that Baci’s cook-a-thon was “an incredible achievement” and that she was “a true inspiration.”
Baci, who is from Lagos, Nigeria, is a self-taught chef who has been cooking since she was a child. She said that she was motivated to break the record to inspire other young people to follow their dreams.
“I want to show people that anything is possible if you set your mind to it,” she said. “I never thought I would be able to break the world record, but I never gave up on my dream.”
Baci’s cook-a-thon was a major success, and she has received widespread praise from her fans and colleagues. She is now a role model for young people all over the world, and her story is an inspiration to anyone who has ever dreamed of achieving something great.
