The Ho Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), is set to demolish structures built on waterways following devastating flash floods that affected businesses and homes after a downpour on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
This follows weekend rains in the Ho Municipality, and its attendant destruction of property came as a surprise to many, particularly to residents of Ho in the Volta Region.
The torrential rains that lasted for nearly two hours saw storm drains and other drainage systems spill over and ravage shops and houses in most parts of town.
During a working tour of the affected areas in the Municipality, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Divine Bosson, indicated that the Assembly has developed a roadmap to pull down projects on waterways to prevent future disasters.
