Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has opened up about a painful betrayal she experienced in a past relationship.
In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on Adom TV’s Okukuseku show, Sista Afia revealed t
hat her ex-partner had gotten married to another woman while they were still dating.
“I was young and in love at the time, and i ignored the warning signs that my partner was not committed to me. For example, he had a child with another woman, but i chose to believe that he was still in love with me.”
The betrayal was devastating for Sista Afia. She said that she felt like her world had been turned upside down, and she struggled to trust people for a long time after.
However, she has since learned to move on and adopt a more open-minded approach to relationships. now believes that it is important to have realistic expectations in relationships.
According to her she used to expect her partners to be perfect, but she has now learned that everyone makes mistakes.
She stressed that it is important to be strong and independent, so that you can deal with heartbreak if it happens.
