Ghanaian gospel singer Joe Mettle has achieved great success in his music career, but he still has one regret: not taking his music lessons seriously in school.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Mettle said that he didn’t think he would pursue music as a career when he was younger, so he didn’t put much effort into his music lessons.
“I think I should have taken my music lessons seriously when I was in school,” he said. “At the time, I didn’t know I would be taking it up one day so I didn’t take it seriously.
That is one regret I have in life.”
Despite his regret, Mettle is still very successful in his music career. He has released seven albums, won numerous awards, and was named Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2017.
Mettle is also happy with his personal life. He married his wife, Salomey Selassie Dzisa, in 2020 and they have a young son together.
“I am happy with who I am and happy with what God has made me,” he said. “I love to sing and write, and I love serving in this ministry. I am grateful for everything that God has done in my life.”
Mettle’s story is a reminder that it is never too late to pursue your dreams.
Even if you don’t think you will pursue a certain career path when you are younger, it is still important to put your best effort into everything you do. You never know where your talents may take you.
