The Chiefs of Nogokpo, a town in the Volta Region have summoned the Founder of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare to appear before them within fourteen days.

Founder of International, Archbishop Charles has opened up about some deviant behaviours he engaged in while growing up.

The Archbishop said at age 11, he was cigarette and graduated to smoking weed at age 12.

According to him, he got introduced by some fifth formers at St. Martins Secondary School at Nsawam back in 1973, because he was always called by his seniors to light up their cigarettes.

“Back then, those coming to secondary were from middle school either form 2, form 3 or form 4, so they were matured to be between the ages of 18-22 and some of them used to smoke and they would call me to light the cigarette and weed.

“By the time I was 11 years old and returning home, smoking cigarette was a habit. So, when I turned 12, I was smoking weed and abusing other drugs,” he said on Onua Maakye, Wednesday, January 17.

This, he said led to his near dismissal from school.

“Then I was supposed to be sacked from school. Fortunately for me, I was in form five first term and had registered for O’ Level examinations, so the school allowed me to write my O’ Level exams.”

The Founder of Perez Chapel International also narrated how his womanizing antics led him to repent from his deviant behaviours.

He recalled that while living in as a teacher, he fell in with a lady who compelled him to follow her to before she could accept his proposal.

The founder of Perez Chapel International stated that while high on marijuana, he followed his ‘crush’ to a Pentecost church in Tamale.

“I was in Tamale as a pupil teacher and my antics were many. So, as a teacher, a parent requested for extra hours, so when I got to the house, I met two ladies and I liked both ladies, but I wanted to be with one of them.

“When I made my intentions known to her, she told me she had a boyfriend and I asked who the boyfriend was and she said his name was Jesus and if you allow me introduce you to my boyfriend then I will accept to be yours,” he recounted to the host, Captian Smart.

Agyinasare recounts how going to church with girl friend caused his repentance despite being high on marijuana

According to the Archbishop, he was practicing Buddhism at that time “so it was all a joke” for him.

“But I accepted to go meet that boy [Jesus]. That night, high on marijuana, I went with her to church, sat at the end waiting for her.”

He said that night was a life-changing moment for him.

“I only remember the preacher made an altar call and I stepped forward, since then the of drugs, , tobacco, lust broke from my life from that night,” he narrated.
