Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana has expressed his readiness to tackle the next challenge, even if it means staying with Southampton in the Championship next season.
The talented winger capped off his Premier League campaign with a stunning brace against Liverpool, contributing to Southampton’s thrilling 4-4 draw at St Mary’s Stadium.
Sulemana, who joined Southampton during the January transfer window from French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais, has already made a strong impression despite his relatively short time at the club.
The winger’s performances have raised questions about his future with the Saints, but he remains unfazed and open to whatever comes his way.
When asked about his future with Southampton, Sulemana conveyed his determination and adaptability. He stated that he is prepared for any challenge that may lie ahead, including the possibility of continuing with the Saints next season despite being relegated from the Premier League.
“I’m ready for whatever’s next. If I stay, I’ll stay and help the team bounce back. If there’s an opportunity to explore I will take it,” he BBC after the game against Liverpool.
Sulemana has made 18 appearances since joining the English side and has scored twice with an assist.
His current contract however ends in 2027.
