It is not right for Prosper Ogum to still be Kotoko coach after losing five games – Wilberforce Mfum

Asante Kotoko legend Wilberforce Mfum has questioned the decision of the club to keep Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach.

He believes the Ghana Premier League winning coach should not be at post after losing five matches in their last six games.

The Porcupine Warriors have also lost four consecutive matches in the league and are currently ninth on the league table with 32 points gained about five weeks ago.

Within that same time, Asante Kotoko have also dropped from third to tenth and are 10 points away from leaders FC Samartex.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Mfum expressed disappointment in the leadership of the club for keeping Ogum despite losing four consecutive games.

“That is not right,” Mfum exclaimed. “How can you lose five matches and still be at the helm of Kotoko?”

“Kotoko deserves top-class players who can fill the stadium with supporters, not lower-division players like we currently have.”

Asante Kotoko will next take on Bechem United this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.
