American rap legend Ja Rule, real name, Jeffrey Bruce Atkins, has teamed up with the international non-profit Pencils of Promise to build a new school named St. John’s Anglican Basic School in Nuaso in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The project, which began last year, will be a six-unit classroom block and additional facilities for kids in the Nuaso community.

Ja Rule’s commitment was evident at the groundbreaking ceremony, where he expressed his satisfaction with giving back to the community.

Recent photos of Ja Rule show how excited he is about the project. In a Twitter post, he shared his enthusiasm, saying:

“The school my family and I are building in Ghana looks amazing. Can’t wait to open! Thanks to Pencils of Promise for all the great work you do in and for marginalized communities throughout the world… 💪🏾🧡🇬🇭”
