Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has broken his silence on the death of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, calling on the government to step in and provide support for the teenager’s father.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session on Monday, November 2, 2026, the musician urged the Ghanaian government to facilitate the relocation of Javits’ father from the United States to Ghana and provide him with accommodation and employment opportunities to help him rebuild his life.
According to Shatta Wale, the responsibility of supporting the bereaved father should rest with the Ghanaian government rather than American authorities.
He argued that providing such assistance would demonstrate the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens, including Ghanaians living outside the country.
The musician also used the opportunity to address the growing number of Ghanaians relocating abroad in search of better opportunities.
He explained that many people do not leave Ghana because they have abandoned their homeland but because the country’s difficult economic conditions make it challenging for them to achieve their ambitions.
Shatta Wale maintained that improving living standards, creating employment opportunities and providing a better economic environment could encourage many Ghanaians in the diaspora to return home.
