Afrobeats sensation Joseph Akinfenwa-Donus, widely known as Joeboy, has marked a significant milestone in his impressive 5-year career by entering into a dual deal with the global music powerhouse Warner Music, home to acclaimed artists such as Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Burna Boy, and Ckay.

This dual agreement encompasses Joeboy’s launch of his own entertainment venture named Young Legend, positioning him as the latest flagship artist for Warner Music from Africa.

This strategic move also signifies Joeboy’s departure from emPawa after a successful five-year stint during which he released two EPs (Love & Light and Body, Soul & Spirit), two albums (Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Body & Soul), and a plethora of hit singles and features, amassing over 2 billion streams across major digital service providers.

Within the framework of the Young Legend label, Joeboy assumes the role of CEO, while Deola Jaiyesimi takes on the position of Head of the label, entrusted with the responsibility of cultivating the next wave of Afrobeats superstars on a global scale.

In aligning with the likes of Olamide, Don Jazzy, and his former label mentor Mr Eazi, Joeboy leverages his social influence and business savvy to spotlight emerging talents while propelling himself from a continental superstar to a global musical juggernaut.
