Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew once again starred for the Black Stars on Monday night as Ghana sunk the Central African Republic (CAR).

The Crystal Palace attacker after coming of the beach in the previous game against Mali to score the winner was handed a starting role as the West Africans squared off with the Wild Beast in their fourth World Cup qualifier.

Fatawu Issahaku who also earned a starting place given his previous performance won a penalty for Ghana in the early moments of the game which Jordan Ayew converted in the sixth minute to set the ton for a goals galore at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.

However, CAR bounced back as Louis Mafouta in the 11th and 41st scored a brace to ensure the first half ended with the visitors holding on to the advantage.

The Back Stars bounced back with Jordan Ayew connected a well taken cross from Gideon Mensah on the hour mark.

Issahaku scored two minutes later before Jordan Ayew cemented the victory with a rebound after Mohammed Kudus got his shot blocked.

The CAR pulled one back with a powerful strike from Mafouta.

The win means Ghana climb to top of Group I with nine points and maintains its dominance at the Baba Yara Stadium having only lost a World Cup qualifier.
