His Majesty King Mswati III of Eswatini, accompanied by HRH Inkhosikati LaMagongo, has donated $1,000 each to 10 emaSwati students studying at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

The heartwarming gesture was made during a royal visit to the university on Friday, June 27, 2025, as part of the King’s official tour of Ghana. The visit also included a grand banquet hosted by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Before the donation, the monarch and his consort held a touching meeting with the students. His Majesty commended their academic dedication, referencing a positive report from KNUST Vice Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson.

“We would like to encourage you to work hard and be good ambassadors for other emaSwati students who would like to come and study in this big university, which has a number of faculties,” King Mswati III told the students.

He also praised their role in upholding Eswatini’s image abroad and urged them to make the most of their education to help build their nation.
