The Member of Parliament for the Yilo Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region, Dr. Albert Tetteh Nyarkotey has affirmed his commitment to lobbying for the upgrade of the Klo-Agogo Market to a modern-day market to help promote economic activities in the area.
He reiterated that as President John Dramani Mahama made a promise during his campaign tour, he will continue to lobby at the Presidency for such a promise to be fulfilled.
The Yilo Krobo lawmaker revealed this during an exclusive interview with GBC News in Somanya after a thanksgiving service to offer praises and thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the party’s victory in last year’s general elections.
Dr. Tetteh Nyarkotey hinted that through partnership, he is going to establish two factories in the Yilo Krobo Constituency to help employ the youth in the constituency to help reduce the unemployment rate in the area.
He noted that as Yilo Krobo is well noted for the production of mango and cassava, he is planning to establish mango and cassava processing factories in the constituency. Dr. Tetteh Nyarkotey also reiterated his commitment to lobby to help rehabilitate the Sikabeng junction to Klo-Agogo road as well as the Huhunya to Boti road.
However, the 2024 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okere, Prince Henry Anim-Owiredu has filed for the position as the District Chief Executive for the Okere Constituency.
He noted that his plan of becoming the DCE for Okere is to help his visibility in the constituency and operationalize his development plans for the constituency, which is one of the major reasons he contested for the Parliamentary seat. He also assured his constituents of establishing three factories to employ the youth in the district when given the opportunity.
