Kotoku Royals head coach, John Eduafo says his team did everything right to get a positive result against Hearts of Oak on Sunday but were unlucky.

The Ghana Premier League debutants went into the game with much confidence having already defeated in-form Bechem United in their previous game.

However, Hearts took advantage of their experience to overcome the resilience of the bottom-placed team by claiming all three points thanks to Caleb Amankwah’s 96th-minute goal.

Despite the outcome, Eduafo was pleased with his team’s overall input.

“We lost due to a little loss of concentration but I’m so much impressed with the performance of my team. It’s just hard luck,” he said after the game.

“I told them everything I had to but just a little loss of concentration at the tail end of the game and that gave them the goal. It’s part of the game. Sometimes, in the game of football, it happens.”

Kotoku Royals will play King Faisal in their next game on Friday as their battle for survival continues.
