Playwright and founder of the Ghana CEO Awards, Latif Abubakar, has urged business leaders to see industry recognition as motivation to achieve greater success rather than the end of their professional journeys.
He made the call on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the 5th Ghana CEO Vision and Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
Addressing nominees and award recipients at the ceremony, Mr Abubakar encouraged them to take pride in their achievements while remaining committed to excellence.
“To our nominees and award recipients, tonight is your moment. Wear your achievements with pride, but remember that recognition is not the end of the journey,” he said.
Mr Abubakar said Ghana’s economic future depended on visionary leadership, bold enterprise and purposeful partnerships, stressing the need for business leaders to remain innovative and competitive.
“Ghana’s future requires visionary leadership, bold enterprise and purposeful partnerships,” he stated.
The awards ceremony followed a high-level dialogue held a day earlier under the theme, “Reimagining Ghana’s Future: CEOs at the Heart of the Reset Agenda.”
The dialogue brought together business leaders to discuss the role of chief executive officers in driving Ghana’s economic transformation.
Mr Abubakar said the event also sought to celebrate the courage, resilience and innovation of business leaders who create opportunities for others.
He urged business leaders to remain relevant, connected and ahead of the game while pursuing excellence in their respective industries.
