Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is reportedly on the verge of accepting a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq, with money becoming the focus of his potential move.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Henderson has already held talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and has been given the green light to pursue the move.
Reports suggest that Henderson has agreed to personal terms with Al Ettifaq, a club coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
The terms include a staggering wage of approximately £700,000 per week on a three-year contract. However, with two years remaining on his current contract with Liverpool, the Saudi club will need to negotiate a transfer fee with the Reds.
According to Romano, Liverpool will not allow Henderson to leave for free, indicating that a fee will need to be agreed upon. While Al Ettifaq have yet to submit an official offer, various sources suggest that Liverpool could demand around £20 million for their esteemed captain.
One of the greatest nights of our lives.
Thank you for everything, Jordan Henderson.
