Ghanaian legendary musician and an Inspirational gospel artist, known in real life as Mr. Mark Anim Yirenkyi, has made it known the need for Africans to believe in themselves, in his latest studio album dubbed ‘Back to Yah’ in which three songs from the upcoming project have officially been released on all his digital platforms.
Speaking in an exclusive one on one interview with Ebo Safo, via Ghananewss.com news portal, the Adventist singer said, he has now released three songs titled Obibini, Odomankoma, and Yah Shammah from his upcoming Songs of Deliverance Album dubbed ‘Back to Yah’.
When the host Ebo Safo asked the purpose of his upcoming album, he made it known that, his first single from the album Obibini talks about the need for we as Africans to be conscious of ourselves in order for us to know who we are, where we are from, and where we are going.
He told the host, “Ebo Safo, When one begin to lose consciousness of one self, that person begins to depend on what other people say about him, and because that person do not know thy self, he tends to believe all the negative comments said about him, and when you start to believe in that negative things said about you, you loss your consciousness, you become liability, and that’s what my current music titled Obibini intends to tackle”.
He continued, if you look all over the world, the black people have lost hope in themselves, but if we begin to wake up and do something for ourselves we can achieve greater things in this Universe. We need to have courage that we can do something for ourselves.
According to him, “ discouragement can be defined as taking the courage out from someone, and encouragement means giving courage to someone who has lost hope again, but if you know who you are then you begin to work within that knowledge and understanding, you can go higher than what you can imagine”.
He also encouraged his fans to have the believe that God is in us, and if you have that mindset, you can do greater things than you can imagine.
Mark Aim urged all his loving fans to continue streaming his inspirational songs, and he believe this new album will put hope in the people again.
“My happiness on earth now is to liberate people mind and consciousness through music”, he said.
