A minute’s applause will be held at Premier League matches and other Ghana Football Association (GFA)-organized competitions in memory of respected football administrator Lepowura MND Jawula, who died last week in the United States.

The former GFA president, who served from 1997 to 2001, died on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the age of 73.

The directive is expected to be observed at all matchday 14 venues of the Ghana Premier League, matchday 12 fixtures of the Division One League and the eighth round of matches of the Women’s Premier League.

The other competitions which will also observe the directive are All Regional Football Association 2nd Division League, 3rd Division League, Women’s Division One League and Juvenile (U13, U15 & U17) League matches to be played this weekend.

Until his demise, he was a member of the Confederation of African Football’s Inter-club committee and CAF/FIFA Match Commissioner.
