Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Polo has expressed disappointment in the poor form of his former club in the Ghana Premier League.
The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions have dropped from being title contenders to fighting to retain a place in Ghana’s top flight league with a series of bad results. They are now 11th on the table with just three points above the danger zone.
The team were also knocked out in the early stages of the CAF Confederations Cup and failed to retain the FA Cup.
Their performances has also seen a change in coaches from Samuel Boadu to Slavko Matic and now David Ocloo.
Mohammed Polo who made a name for himself while playing for the club has lamented the current situation of the club indicating his diminishing interest in watching the club he “sacrificed so much for.”
“I do watch them play sometimes but not all the time because my interest in the team has really come down. Anytime I watch them, I ask myself what is happening to the club that we sacrificed so much for. I am always sad when I watch Hearts of Oak games these days. You sometimes wonder what the players are doing on the pitch,” he told Fox FM.
The Phobians will aim to redeem themselves on the last day of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season as they lock horns with Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park.
