Popular Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has expressed her deep sorrow over the death of legendary Highlife musician KK Kabobo
Kabobo, a veteran of the music scene, succumbed to liver disease at the University of Ghana Medical Facility despite receiving treatment and financial support.
Numerous well-wishers visited him during his illness, including former president John Dramani Mahama and Shay herself, who donated 10,000 Ghanaian cedis towards his care.
News of Kabobo’s passing left the RuffTown Records’ signee heartbroken. In a post on social media, Wendy Shay said she anticipated the Highlife legend’s recovery after her visit.
“The passing of legendary Highlife musician KK Kabobo breaks my heart…After visiting him, I was so hopeful for his recovery, but I woke up to this devastating news today. My condolences to his family. May he find eternal peace.”
