National Development Conference 2023 opens in Central Region

Two-day National Development Conference 2023 dubbed moral vision and national development under the auspices of the Church of Pentecost (COP) is underway at Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver the keynote address with fraternal greetings from other important speakers in the person of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Chief Justice-Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sacky Torkornoo, the former President-John Agyekum Kufour, the former President-John Dramani Mahama and Chairman, The Church of Pentecost-Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

Topics to be treated during the morning session of day one, Wednesday 26th July, 2023 are moral vision and national development, and leadership and human florishing: making a case for social justice and nation building in Ghana today. 

Afternoon and evening sessions will witness four topics: Rising effective politicians for Africa, integrity in nation-building, religion, morality and development, and patriotism and national development.

Topics for the final day-day two of the conference on Thursday, 27th July, 2023 include: Moral vision and national development, the role of the media, building public support towards mobilizing resources domestically for development and, righteousness, wisdom and development to Mark the closing ceremony.

The conference has brought together thousands of Ghanaians with different backgrounds from different areas to brainstorm on issues affecting the nation for possible solutions in order to put the nation on the right path for growth and development.
