The National Theatre on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, held its Annual Conference of the Performing Arts.
Themed, “We Have Value: Building Bridges to Success’, the event brought together relevant stakeholders in the creative arts industry.
The event provided a platform for creatives to propose solutions for growing the Ghanaian creative industry.
Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Mark Okraku Mantey gave the keynote address.
The Minister acknowledged that a rich performing arts industry is vital to a thriving cultural landscape and that public policy must nurture it.
He advocated for investment in creative infrastructure as well as improved funding and financing, a policy framework to strengthen intellectual property rights.
In attendance were: Ghallywood actor Adjetey Anang, Abeiku Seigo, Apiorkor Seyram,Artistic Director GH. Dance Company, Stephanie Yamoah and Board Chair NTG, Nana Fredua Agyemang Ofori Atta
