Following the unexpected cancellation of Shatta Wale’s concert in Wolverhampton, UK, his manager Sammy Flex has explained the reasons behind the decision.

In an interview on GHOne TV, Sammy Flex divulged that Shatta Wale fell ill while in the UK due to the weather change and cold flu. Despite being unwell, the artist was still determined to perform for his fans in Wolverhampton.

“We said, okay, we still want to play this show. We don’t want to disappoint our people. So what can we do now? Let’s make things comfortable for him so he can play this show,” Flex said.

One of the things that Flex and his team wanted to do was to airlift Shatta Wale to Wolverhampton by private jet.

This would have allowed the artist to travel in comfort and avoid the possibility of getting worse. However, the organizers of the concert were unable to meet this demand.

“They couldn’t afford to airlift us…So we said, okay, no problem. We’ll find our own way to go.”

The manager of the self-acclaimed Dancehall King explained extensively that after further consideration, they decided that it would be best to cancel the concert altogether.

“We didn’t want to risk his health, especially since he was already feeling unwell…We also didn’t want to put on a subpar show for our fans. We wanted to give them the best possible experience, and we couldn’t do that if Shatta Wale wasn’t at his best.”

He apologized for the disappointment and promised that they would reschedule the concert in the near future.
