Otto Addo has made significant changes to Ghana’s lineup for today’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger, swapping out six players. Terry Yegbe, Francis Abu, Isaac Afful, Nathaniel Adjei, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and Ernest Numah are stepping in to replace Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, Elisha Owusu, Abdul Fatawi Issahaku, Michael Baidoo, and Jordan Ayew.
Abdul Manaf Nurudeen will retain his position as goalkeeper, while Razak Simpson, Kingsley Schindler, Ibrahim Sulemana, and Mohammed Kudus will keep their spots in the starting lineup. Ghana is looking to end their AFCON qualifiers on a high note after failing to secure a spot in next year’s tournament.
Coach Otto Addo emphasized the importance of winning this match, stating, “We want to beat them (Niger) for our honor and for third place. Ghana currently sits fourth in Group F with three points after five matches.
The match kicks off at 16:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.
