Paris Hilton has responded to criticism of her son’s head size, calling it “unacceptable” and “cruel.”
The reality star recently posted photos of her 8-month-old son, Phoenix Barron, on Instagram, and some people commented that his head was large.
Hilton replied that her “angel is perfectly healthy” and “just has a large brain.” She also wrote a longer message on Instagram Stories, defending her decision to post photos of her son and criticizing the trolls who targeted him.
“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable…This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe.”
Hilton continued, saying that she has worked hard to create an environment of love, respect, and acceptance and that she expects the same from others.
“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother, and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful,” she wrote. “I’m a proud working mom, and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic.”
Hilton concluded her message with a plea for kindness.
“I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember…Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.”
Hilton’s response to the criticism has been praised by many people, who have applauded her for standing up for her son and speaking out against cyberbullying.
