Manchester City legend Paul Dickov has praised Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo for the remarkable impact he has made since arriving at the club earlier this year.

The former City striker, who represented the club between 1996 and 2002, believes Semenyo’s ability to settle quickly into one of the world’s biggest teams has been just as impressive as his goals and assists.

“He has been incredible since he joined. People obviously look at the assists, and even more so the important goals he has scored,” Dickov said.

“But for me, the most impressive thing is how quickly he adapted, and Marc Guéhi as well.”

Semenyo completed his move from Bournemouth earlier this year and wasted little time making his mark, becoming an important part of Manchester City’s attack.

The versatile forward finished the season with eight goals and one assist for City across all competitions, while his overall campaign produced an impressive return of 21 goals and six assists in 48 appearances.

His performances have further strengthened his reputation as one of Ghana’s most influential players heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he is expected to play a leading role for the Black Stars.
