FC Samartex have bolstered their squad ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season with the acquisition of defender James Sewornu from Hearts of Oak.
Sewornu, who impressed the club while on loan last season, was instrumental in ensuring the team’s survival in the league, prompting the club to sign him on a permanent basis.
Sewornu’s impact on the pitch was undeniable during the 2022/23 season. He played in 28 games, demonstrating his versatility as a centre-back and even contributing an assist to his team’s efforts.
His performances left an indelible impression on the club, prompting their enthusiastic decision to sign him on a long-term contract, luring him away from his previous club, Hearts of Oak.
