The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has officially tendered his resignation, effective Monday, January 13, 2025.
The resignation follows his election as the Member of Parliament for the Akwapim North constituency.
In his resignation letter, the outgoing Director General explained his decision to focus on his new responsibilities as a legislator representing his constituents.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the NLA’s Director General, a position he assumed in August 2021 and was confirmed by the Public Services Commission in July 2022.
The former NLA boss has requested the appointment of a replacement to ensure a smooth transition and handover of responsibilities.
He concluded by extending his best wishes to the National Lottery Authority and its leadership.
