The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) participated in the 27th edition of the Ghana International Trade Fair, held at West Hills Mall, Weija from 1st to 7th March, 2023.

The GSA’s participation was to enable the sensitisation of a wider audience on its mandate. It also allowed the GSA to engage, register and collect data from small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in the Shipping and Logistics industry.

The week-long event, themed ‘Strengthening SMEs; A Key to Economic Recovery’, had over thirty (30) exhibitors and over one thousand (1000) patrons.

Visitors to the GSA’s exhibition stand inquired about the mandate of the GSA, how the GSA can assist them with their import and export operations, how to register with the GSA, and how to build work relationships.

At a brief opening, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Trade Fair Company, Dr. Agnes Adu, led a delegation to tour the various exhibition stands. She commended the GSA for offering free services to shippers after a brief interaction with officials of the GSA, who were at the stand during her tour. “This is a government agency providing free services to shippers and stakeholders in the industry, and they are here at the Trade Fair to advertise the services they offer.

“We need to commend them for the work they are doing because it goes a long way to ensure trade facilitation, which is one of the objectives of the Trade Fair,” she noted.
